Onboarding with Aleksandra: Giving our new employees a soft landing

Greetings! My name is Aleksandra and I am your Community Manager at All Your BI. It is my pleasure to guide you through the onboarding process and show you how we welcome and assist our new team members. Let's explore the journey ahead of us!

Getting prepared: Pre-boarding stage

Before your onboarding, we have a pre-boarding phase where you will receive all the necessary information. Nienke, our HR manager from VIE People, will assist you with all the required documentation and answer any questions you may have. For international employees relocating to the Netherlands, she can provide guidance on rules and regulations. She will also send you an email about your account before the onboarding process begins, ensuring a smooth start.

The first two days (at the office)

A warm welcome
We have put together a special welcome package for you that includes a branded hoodie, a culture book highlighting our milestones, values, and photos, and a new laptop. Once your laptop is set up, we will guide you through all the necessary tools and essential websites to get started. As you begin your journey with us, our office will come to life to mark the occasion, and we will even open a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

On your first day, our goal is to provide you with essential information that will give you a comprehensive understanding of what lies ahead in the coming days. We want to make sure you are not overwhelmed by information and will maintain a balanced and manageable flow.

The third day: The start of the onboarding case ~ 8 days

Onboarding Team
At All Your BI, we have an onboarding team dedicated to ensuring that you settle in smoothly. Our team consists of experienced professionals such as Patrick, a BI developer who will expertly guide you through learning the tools. Michael, one of the founders of All Your BI, will share the incredible story of how the company was launched, along with our core values, strategy, and mission. Nienke is always available to address any HR-related queries you might have. Additionally, we have a data scientist and coach named Ilya, who will lead your onboarding case. This case is like a study adventure where you'll encounter the entire working process within just two action-packed weeks. We make sure our newcomers feel supported and ready to conquer their roles!

The Onboarding
In this exciting eight-day adventure, you will have the opportunity to work with a simulated client named John, who will be portrayed by our Coach, Ilya. You will be able to get hands-on experience by delving into real data and assignments and collaborating with a database to create an MVP that you will present.

By doing this, you will gain a deeper understanding of how we operate at All Your BI, including the tools we use and where to find essential information. The best part is that this experience will not interfere with our real work and actual clients, as it is a safe and engaging environment for learning.

The last two days: Time to reflect

During these last two days, you can take a step back and think about what you've learned throughout the onboarding process. This includes not only job-specific knowledge but also understanding the company culture, values, and expectations

What I love about leading the onboarding process

My favorite part of my job is welcoming and guiding you through the onboarding process with ease and without overwhelming them. I strive to create a safe and secure environment where users can make mistakes and grow. The most fulfilling aspect of my work is seeing the happy faces of new members as they embark on their journey with us.
